Reading Instruction for Adults

Student Information

We welcome to the Reading Instruction for Adults any Ventura County adult who wants to improve basic reading, writing, and math skills. The Reading Instruction for Adults serves over 500 learners each year. Students come to our program for one-to-one tutoring to improve their reading and writing skills so that they can attain their educational, career, and personal goals. These goals may include reading to their children or getting a promotion. For those learners not born in the United States, passing the citizenship exam might be a goal.

To enroll in the Reading Instruction for Adults, the learner needs to call 641-4484 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or contact the nearest tutoring site. We ask that potential students make the calls themselves so that we can be sure that our program is appropriate for their needs. Because our program focuses on literacy skills in English, learners do need to be conversant in English.

The Gold Coast Ride For Literacy is April 17, 2010!
