Birds of the Ojai Valley with Allen Bertke

Join Allen Bertke, a photographer and the official leader of the Beginning Bird Walks sponsored by the Ventura Audubon Society for Birds of the Ojai Valley, Monday, October 18th, 6pm at Ojai Library.

Mr. Bertke will be leading a discussion and showing his photographs of Ojai Valley birds. Come and learn about the local winged ones!

Aimee French visits E.P. Foster Library Wed. October 6

Aimee French will offer a program on Humane Education Wednesday, October 6 at 3:30pm at the E.P. Foster Library. The presentation is a free service from the Humane Society of Ventura County that teaches compassion, empathy, respect and kindness for all living things. The program uses the irresistible draw of live animals to captivate and tap into the minds and hearts of the audience.

Pictured is Charlie, a 3 year old neutered male Rottweiler. He has been at the shelter since July 6, 2010. Charlie was kept as an outdoor only dog and is now looking for a home where he can be a companion to a family.

The Humane Society of Ventura County

This Saturday, October 2 at 3pm, come see Humane Education at Simi Valley Library.

Humane Education is a free service from the Humane Society of Ventura County that teaches compassion, empathy, respect and kindness for all living things.

Ojai Library Sunday Music: Polecat Ramblers

Ojai Library's Sunday Music continues on October 3rd at 1pm with the Polecat Ramblers who bring old timey, traditional music to the Library. Come see and hear great banjo, fiddle, guitar and mandolin music on a Sunday afternoon.

Christian Gallo and David Roine have played at various festivals and parties around the County. Come and be entertained at the Ojai Library!

Read Me a Story & More!

Come to Oak View Library for a 6 week reading and play group for parents and children (age 5 and under).  Read Me a Story & More is designed to help parents choose what and how to read to their children and activities that bring it all together.

Presented by The Nan Tolbert Nurturing Center, Ojai Neighborhood for Learning and the Ojai Valley Libraries, this event is being held on Tuesday mornings at Oak View Library from October 12 through November 16, 10am to 11am.

Faery Time at the Simi Valley Library

On Sunday, Sept. 12, come join Faery Boon and Brownie Cletus as they take you to an enchanted place through stories, songs and laughs.

See Comedian Jason Love at Camarillo Library!

Come see Jason Love - comedian, guitarist, cartoonist and author - at Camarillo Library on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 2pm.

The program is for all ages. Jason performs standup comedy all over the country at venues such as The Improv, Funny Bones, Laugh Factory, Punchline and Zanies. He also syndicates his daily cartoon "Snapshots" to millions of readers in print and on the Internet. His humor column "So It Goes" has run in over 50 publications including the Ventura County Star.

His mother still asks when he is going to get a job!
