Jim Cogan's energetic, often hilarious and always moving oral presentations will be featured.
"American Tall Tales" for children will be presented at 11am.
"Legends and Lore of America's Past" for adults will be offered at 2pm.
Engaging audiences of all ages is a noted feature of his programs.
The haunting occurs Friday, October 28, 7:30 - 9pm. Tickets required for entry. Pick up your free ticket at the library Oct. 20-28, as long as supplies last.

Ready for story time fun?
Oak View Library's autumn session of story time begins Tuesday, October 25th. It will run eight weeks at 4pm on Tuesdays, concluding Tuesday, December 13.
This early literacy-based story time is filled with stories, songs, and movement. It is best-suited for infants and children up to five years of age.
No need to register, just come!

Cameron O’Connor, born and raised in Simi Valley, is an award-winning and critically acclaimed guitarist.
O'Connor has received a Master’s Degree from the Juilliard School of Music and is currently in the PhD program at the USC School of Music. His performances include the 9/11 Memorial in New York in 2010 and the Aspen Music Festival.

The mural is a colorful exploration of literature and fantasy designed to encourage young people to come to the library. The available space is 15 inches by 16 feet, so entries should be limited to one or two short sentences.
Submit your quote on forms provided on the 2nd Floor of the E.P. Foster Library or email the quote to email@example.com using “quote” in the subject line. Please include your name and a phone number.
The contest ends Sunday, September 25th at 5pm. The winner will be notified and a prize awarded.
September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month! The staff of the Ray D. Prueter Library would like you to draw or paint or color (or a combination) a picture showing us how important your library is to you.
The pictures will be judged by age groups: 0-5 years old, 6-12 years old, & 13-18 years old. There will be one (1) winner from each age group.
The three (3) winners will each receive a Barnes & Noble $15 gift card (thanks to the Friends of the Port Hueneme Library). So stop by the Ray D. Prueter Library and pick up an Art Contest Entry Form.
