HOMEWORK CENTER VOLUNTEERS
HOMEWORK CENTER FAQs |
Students come to the library's homework center to look for books, and to use the computers and other reference materials. With technology giving us news and information twenty-four hours a day, it is a joy to work with these students who -- whether their futures lie in space, medicine, education, the arts -- must first learn the basics we all learned. Please consider becoming a volunteer at your local library and help prepare eager students of all grade levels for their future. The Homework Centers are open on weekday afternoons during the regular school calendar. Volunteers work under the direction of the Homework Center Coordinator. Groups of 25 students are not uncommon, so volunteers can provide more individualized help. Volunteers may be required to pass a background check before working with the students.
