- When did the H.P. Wright library close?
The Wright Library officially closed at 8pm on Monday, November 30, 2009.
- Why did Wright library close?
After the failure of the general tax measure (Measure A) on November 3, 2009, the City of Ventura determined it did not have the money to keep this library open.
- Will there be storytimes?
There are storytimes at the Foster Library in downtown Ventura. Check the Library System website www.vencolibrary.org or the Ventura Libraries' Event Calendar for more information.
- Where can I return my library items?
There are two bookdrops at Wright Library which are picked up twice weekly. Patrons are encouraged to also use the bookdrops at any other Ventura County Library.
- Where is my new “home” library?
Wright Library patrons were reassigned to the Foster Library location. You may request your home library be any of the other libraries in the Ventura County Library system.
