Learn about Mars Science Laboratory - at Simi Valley Library!

Come to the Simi Valley Library on Saturday July 7 at 2pm to learn more about the Mars Science Laboratory Mission.

Mars Science Laboratory mission is part of NASA’s Mars Exploration Program, a long term robotic exploration of the red planet. A rover named Curiosity, designed to assess whether Mars ever had an environment able to support small life forms, will be landing on Mars this August. Mars Science Laboratory Mission will begin the next decade of Mars exploration.

This presentation by Kirk Breitenbach, a spacecraft engineer who has worked for Jet Propulsion Laboratory for 22 years, will give an overview on this exciting mission to Mars. Mr. Breitenbach will describe the scientific purpose, engineering challenges and accomplishments, mission status and near term mission events.
