Mary Lynch, City Librarian explains Ojai Library's newest program-launching in April-that enables Ojai residents to "check out" actual people, similar to the way one might check out a book from the library. The new program matches "readers" with individuals who are "living books" for a pre-determined time on library premises, allowing the reader to share the life and/or talents of the "living book".
