Opioid Overdose Prevention Program (County of Ventura)

Offered by Ventura County Public Health, the program uses a practical, evidence-based approach to reduce risks, remove obstacles to treatment, and save lives as the opioid crisis changes in communities.

The program offers services that integrate with general medical care using proven tools such as overdose-reversal medication and harm reduction strategies to support community members who use drugs.

Program staff are available for community events for education and Naloxone (Narcan) distribution and harm reduction items such as Fentanyl and Xylazine test strips.

Educational materials, training, and resource links are available for those in recovery, parents, students, professionals, agencies, and organizations.
