Holiday Library Closure Schedule

  • All Ventura County Libraries will close early at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24 and are closed all day Wednesday, December 25.
  • Todas las bibliotecas del condado de Ventura cerrarán temprano a las 5:00 p.m. el martes 24 de diciembre y estarán cerradas todo el día el miércoles 25 de diciembre.

Rules for the Supervision of Minors

  1. Parents, caregivers and teachers are responsible for the behavior of children under their supervision. 
  2. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible caregiver 12 years old or older. 
  3. A responsible adult must directly accompany preschool children at all times. Library staff cannot assume responsibility for children at any time. 
  4. If an unattended child is in the library at closing time the police will be notified and asked to pick up the child. Library staff is not permitted to off the child transportation home.
