Library closure notices November 27-29

All Ventura County Libraries will close early at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27.

All Ventura County Libraries will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29.

Todas las bibliotecas del condado de Ventura cerrarán temprano a las 5:00 p. m. el miércoles 27 de noviembre.

Todas las bibliotecas del condado de Ventura estarán cerradas el jueves 28 y el viernes 29 de noviembre.

 

Teen Volunteers

Ventura County Library offers volunteer opportunities for students ages 13-17, including those needing school community service credit.

Teen volunteers are especially needed June through August to help with the summer reading challenge.

  1. Fill out a Ventura County Library Volunteer Application.

  2. Turn in the completed application at the library branch location where you wish to volunteer. 

Or, email the completed volunteer application to VCL.volunteer@ventura.org. (Link sends email) Include the location where you wish to volunteer in your message.

Please note: Volunteer openings vary by branch.Turning in an application does not guarantee a volunteer position is available.

Examples of teen volunteer assignments:Help with children's programs, such as summer reading and art & science activities; Help maintain library collections; Write brief book reviews of titles from the Young Adult collection; Create suggested Young Adult reading lists using books from the library's collection.
