Fascinated by books based on mythology, she built an entirely new world for her fantastical realm of Orkney and hasn’t stopped writing since. She loves to explore characters that are deeply flawed and full of emotions like anger and frustration. In addition to her fantasy books, she has written a series of historical picture books for younger children. 100 FREE books for children attending to be signed by Alane. 12 pm Thursday, 07/18/2019 - Craig Newton (Ventura Friends of the Library 50th) 12 pm Then, at noon, get ready for foot stomping, toe tapping, hand clapping, sing­along fun with musician Craig Newton. Meet author Alane Adams whose passion for literacy and children came together when her 12­year ­old son Alex challenged her to write a book he could read.
