Activities, Special Events, and More
- Oak View Branch Upcoming Events Calendar lists dates for summer Lunch at the Library and after-lunch activities; weekly Storytime and Play to Learn events; and the monthly Art Salon for adults.
- The Oak View Reading Society (book group for adults)
- The Oak View Homework Center offers help for K-8 students when school is in session. Homework Center is out for summer break. Services resume in late August. Homework services and after school enrichment activities are provided thanks to the generous support of the Ojai Valley Library Friends and Foundation.
- Need homework help after-hours? Try Help Now by Brainfuse virtual tutoring services from 1-10 pm PST. Library card number required.
Copier, Printing, Wi-Fi, Computer Lab, and Scanning services
- Black and white copies/prints = 10 cents per page.
- Color copies/prints = 50 cents per page.
- Double-sided prints are charged per side.
- Payment is made using a coin-op machine. One dollar bills, quarters, dimes, and nickels accepted.
- Copier can print pdf and image files from a flash drive and scan/save documents to a flash drive.
- Wi-Fi network is available. See staff for network name and password.
- Wireless printing of select document types from a personal phone, tablet or laptop is available during open hours.
- Log-in with a library card number to use a public computer lab station. Time/use limits apply.
- Faxing and scan-to-email services are not available at this time.
Assistive Services
- Bausch & Lomb Sight Savers - 5-inch handheld Magnifier with a 2x - 4x magnification range
- Public computers have an "Ease of Access" shortcut on the desktop allowing users to select from Windows-based accessibility options such as a magnifier, a narrator (users must bring their own earbuds/headphones), an on-screen keyboard, or high visual contrast settings.
