You are invited to the Focus on the Masters Learning To See Outreach Art Showcase, from March 15 – April 24, 2017, with a special reception on March 29th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm for parents, students, and the general public. Come to this celebration of youthful expression, and see how art creates connections to cultures and histories from around the world. This exhibit features artwork created in the World History class of Mr. Andrew Vasquez at Green Middle School in Port Hueneme.

Local author Leslie Rinchen-Wongmo will be talking about her new book, "Threads of Awakening: An American Woman's Journey Into Tibet's Sacred Textile Art." on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at 2pm.
For over 500 years, Tibetans have created stitched fabric thangkas of sacred images from pieces of silk. Join Leslie as she shares her experience with this ancient needlework tradition and the Buddhist values embodied in it.
