Author Kenneth R. Strange Jr. will visit the Ojai Library at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019, to present a talk centered around his book, It's Your Camino: One Couple's 500-mile Pilgrimage Across Spain. This talk will include a slide presentation, readings from the book, and a Q&A session.

Inspired by the film The Way and told with grace and humor, a husband and wife who share a common vision and a deep quest for meaning embark on a demanding pilgrimage that reveals an abundance of courage and grace soaring up and flowing out from all the extraordinary people and places they encounter along the historic Camino de Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain. Their 500-mile pilgrimage proved to be a physically challenging, spiritually satisfying, and endlessly joyful adventure. Actor Martin Sheen writes that “Reliving their journey in It’s Your Camino is an inspiration, a joy, and a must read!”

Kenneth Strange was born in Brooklyn, New York, spent a year studying abroad in Spain at the University of Madrid, and later taught high school Spanish and English as a Second Language in New York and the Middle East.

A lifelong writer and Special Agent with the FBI and DOJ, Ken is also a private investigator and works as an overseas consultant for NGOs and non-profit organizations. He and his wife, Aurora, have climbed the highest mountain in the contiguous United States, Mount Whitney (14,505 feet), and Ken has also summitted the fourth-highest peak in Mexico, Nevado de Toluca (15,350 feet).

This event is free and open to the public. For additional information, contact Ron Solórzano, Regional Librarian, at (805) 218-9146.
